SpayAid PEI was founded in 2007 by a group of concerned citizens

whose goal is contribute to the humane efforts to stem the tide of companion animal over-population. By reducing the number of unwanted pet litters in low-income families, we hope to reduce the numbers of animals who are abandoned, and who are surrendered to the PEI Humane Society.

Fewer surrenders reduce the burden on the Humane Society, and allow already homeless animals to be adopted into new homes. SpayAid PEI's program is run entirely by volunteers.
